Syfy, long known for Ghost Hunters and its sister show Ghost Hunters International, has continued to expand its genre reality show lineup. Over the summer, Haunted Collector joined Hollywood Treasure as newer additions to the network, and Paranormal Witness just began its inaugural season three weeks ago (make sure to check out our interview with the series producer later today).
Now Deadline has announced that Syfy has added another show to its reality collective: Dream Machines. This show will be following brothers Marc and Shannon Parker, “who take fantastical vehicles only seen in movies and TV shows — including The Dark Night’s Bat Pod and Tron‘s Light Cycle — and engineer them into real, drivable machines for celebrities, collectors and themselves.” We’d be quite prepared for that eventuality.
They have further reported that Haunted Collector has been renewed for 12 episodes, while its senior sibling Hollywood Treasure has been renewed for six.
As long as they continue to renew and develop scripted series, we’re more than happy to have Syfy fill up its schedule with new and entertaining genre-related unscripted shows. Congrats on the new arrival, Syfy!
