How’s this to throw you for a loop? Supernatural star, Jared Padalecki’s real-life wife, Genevieve Cortese, will be back on the show this season, but not as her previous character. Cortese, who played the second incarnation of Ruby, the seductive apocalypse-seeking demon who nearly turned Sam evil, will be playing… wait for it… a version of her real-life self as Jared Padalecki’s wife.
In this upcoming episode, our demon-hunting boys Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) find themselves in another universe – one in which “they are actors named Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, starring in a cult TV show called Supernatural.” Cortese will be playing an alternate version of her real-life self!
This episode will air in late February, close to the Padalecki’s first wedding anniversary so what a way to celebrate, right? But don’t hold your breath for Ackles’ wife, Danneel Harris (One Tree Hill), to guest star in this episode. She’s more comfortable just visiting her hubby’s set and “to just watch Jensen do his thing.”
This will be one interesting episode! Fourth wall? What fourth wall?
