NBC has taken an interest in Steven Spielberg’s supernatural television series “Nine Lives” that was originally to be picked up by SyFy. It has been four years since the former Sci Fi Channel had greenlit the project to produce a twelve-hour miniseries that was to air in 2007. While the show did not happen for SyFy, it will now be re-tooled for a broader broadcast audience with sibling network NBC.
“Nine Lives” was written by Les Bohem and executive produced by Bohem, Spielberg, and DreamWorks TV’s Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank. Here’s what the show was originally to be about:
“[It] revolves around a group of people who find a way to reunite with their loved ones in the afterlife through near-death experiences, but those journeys unleash an evil force. … “
