The series premiere of SyFy’s prequel spin-off series to “Battlestar Galactica”, “Caprica” had a soft opening with only 1.6 million viewers.  Granted these numbers were affected by the fact that the pilot has been available online and on DVD since April of 2009 and it was up against “Hope For Haiti Now” on more than fifty networks. Comparatively, “Stargate Universe” snagged 2.4 million viewers last fall.  What will really be the test will be seeing the numbers for tonight’s new episode of “Caprica”, entitled “Rebirth”.  Take a look at “Rebirth”:
