Shawna Trpcic’s Wonder Woman Designs: What DC Should Have Done

Last week, DC unleashed a new look for Wonder Woman designed by artist Jim Lee that received a fairly universal, negative response. The look was created for a new origin and book run by J. Michael Straczynski and Don Kramer.

Back in 2005, writer/director Joss Whedon (Firefly, Serenity) was tapped by Warner Bros. to create a Wonder Woman film project. As you may now know, Whedon left the project due to “creative differences”. Costume designer, Shawna Trpcic who has worked with Whedon on Angel, Firefly, Serenity, Dollhouse and was presumably working with Whedon on his potential Wonder Woman feature film recently took to Twitter and posted four of her designs of the Amazon Princess, along with the message –

“Tell DC this is what [you] want Wonder Woman to look like”
