Craig Charles, star of cult fave sci-fi comedy, Red Dwarf, was so excited about the coming return of the series that he spilled the beans on-air during a recent radio interview. The show will be returning on air for a brand new season after being canceled for twelve years.

Filming for the new six-episode season will begin in the fall and is expected to air in 2012.

Red Dwarf stars Charles as Dave Lister, the only man remaining in the entire universe three millions years from now, Chris Barrie as hologram Rimmer, Danny John-Jules as Cat, an evolved cat-humanoid, and Robert Llewellyn as the mechanoid, Kryten.
