On Tuesday, March 4, fans in 10 cities across the country will have the exclusive opportunity to be the first on the planet to see the highly anticipated series premiere of COSMOS: A SPACETIME ODYSSEY, prior to its debut, during the “COSMOS: A SPACETIME ODYSSEY” PREMIERE SCREENING EVENT AND LIVE GLOBAL Q&A, sponsored by Samsung Galaxy® and the Chrysler brand.
COSMOS: A SPACETIME ODYSSEY premieres Sunday, March 9 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on multiple U.S. Fox networks, including FOX and National Geographic Channel. Beginning the following week, all-new episodes of COSMOS will air Sundays (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX and Mondays (10:00-11:00 PM ET/PT) on National Geographic Channel.
The free screenings and global Q&A event will originate from the COSMOS Pavilion at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and will be uplinked via television satellite to world-renowned locations including New York’s American Museum of Natural History; the Adler Planetarium in Chicago; San Francisco’s Morrison Planetarium at the California Academy of Sciences; the Grosvenor Auditorium at the National Geographic Global Headquarters in Washington, D.C.; Detroit’s Cranbrook Institute of Science; Kennedy Space Center in Orlando; The Planetarium at the University of Texas at Arlington; the James S. McDonnell Planetarium in St. Louis; and the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science. Space is limited, so hopeful attendees should RSVP now by logging on to www.cosmosrsvp.com and submitting their names and contact information.
Upon conclusion of the multi-city free screenings (9:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT/6:00 PM PT), COSMOS host Neil deGrasse Tyson, writer/executive producer/director Ann Druyan, executive producer Seth MacFarlane, executive producer Mitchell Cannold, executive producer/director Brannon Braga and co-executive producer Jason Clark will participate in a LIVE, interactive Q&A, which will be available via a live stream on www.cosmosontv.com and www.livestream.com.
Fans watching the LIVE Q&A at the satellite venues will have the opportunity to submit questions to the panel. For those fans at home, they can submit questions in advance via the COSMOS: A SPACETIME ODYSSEY Facebook page (www.facebook.com/COSMOSonTV) and via Twitter (@COSMOSonTV). Questions also may be submitted the day of the event via Twitter using #cosmoslive. The interactive LIVE Q&A will appear in satellite venues as well as streamed on www.cosmosontv.com and www.livestream.com, beginning at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT.
