Da Vinci’s Demons was one of the richest, most eye-popping new series of 2013. The sets and the costumes set the stage for the characters and the mysteries in a unique way, a combination of Italian Renaissance and punk that worked a lot of screen magic. And while Leo fully commanded the screen, there was something about his arch-enemy Riario, especially when he wore those amazing sunglasses…

Those sunglasses, by the way, belong to Blake Ritson, who plays Riario. He brought them to the set. One of the cool things you can learn from the Season 1 Blu-ray or DVD. Just saying.

We didn’t see the two of them together very often in Season 1, but happily for we fans, it looks like we’ll be seeing the two share a lot more screen time together in the new season. We have a new featurette about Leo and Riario, and a very cool (X-Men inspired?) poster, along with a poster of Lucrezia and Pope Sixtus (kinda glad they didn’t try the face-swapping thing with those two).
