Although the upcoming comics-based series Constantine will be airing on NBC, Warner Bros. Entertainment is producing the show, so when Warner Bros. had a special screener event last Saturday night at Comic-Con, Constantine was included on the list.
The full pilot screener came on last, but here’s the trailer that was presented earlier in the program. It is startlingly different from the cool and intriguing first trailer; this one reveals that the supernatural aspect is heavily dosed with horror, and that Harold Perrineau‘s character is very cool:
Check out this hot new trailer for the upcoming thriller CONSTANTINE unveiled on Saturday, July 26, as Warner Bros. Television Presents a Night of DC Entertainment at Comic-Con 2014. Matt Ryan stars as John Constantine, an irreverent, working-class con man and occult expert waging war against the forces of darkness — from both within himself and the outside world. The series premieres Friday, October 24, at 10/9c on NBC.

There was also an earlier Comic-Con panel for the show where attendees screened the pilot, followed by a brief panel that you can see in full here, which includes a discussion of why they brought in Zed as a lead character:
Series stars Matt Ryan, Harold Perrineau, Charles Halford and Executive Producers Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer were at Comic-Con for a panel Q&A on Constantine, premiering Friday, October 24 at 10/9c on NBC.

Such great news that my favorite soundtrack composer, Bear McCreary, is working on the show. Here’s a featurette that showcases what he’s bringing to the series:

Bonus! Something else to look forward to with this series, and a new soundtrack to add to my collection. Ready for October!
