Less than a week after its 25th season premiere, Fox has announced the pickup of Season 26 of The Simpsons. In case anyone is wondering why, Exhibit A would be the fact that the opening credits (you know, the couch gag) from last night’s broadcast of their annual Halloween episode “Treehouse of Horror XXIV” were directed by Guillermo del Toro. Yes, the completely famous movie director, comic book author, etc etc. In case you missed it, we have it here for your appreciation:
