Marvel Comics has announced Ultimate Comics Enemy, a four-issue miniseries set in its Ultimate Universe. Spider-Man and a group of his allies will face a mysterious new threat to Marvel’s newly rebooted Ultimate Comics imprint. The cast of the series has been confirmed as the Ultimate versions of Sue Storm and Ben Grimm of the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman and Nick Fury, who will race against time to discover the villain’s identity before he can cause more havoc.
Bendis said,
“[This mini-series] is a story I’ve been sitting on for a couple of years,” “It’s something I’ve really wanted to do, and when Jeph Loeb told me he was going to drown the Ultimate Universe [in the Ultimatum miniseries], I was excited because that set up the world so that I could do Ultimate Enemy.
“What we’re debuting in this series is a brand-new villain. It’s a mystery as to exactly what’s coming.
“There are attacks happening. People are being assassinated, and that motivates the cast to figure out who is behind what’s happening. A couple targets are hit in these attacks. So, just when you thought the Ultimate Universe had no-one left to kill, some people get yanked off the board.”
Ultimate Comics Enemy will debut in January.
