LeVar Burton suffered minor injuries following a car crash in Los Angeles, according to reports.

It has been reported by People Magazine that The actor, who played Lt Commander Geordi La Forge on Star Trek: The Next Generation from 1987 to 1994, was driving his Mercedes on Beverly Boulevard in West LA when the accident occurred.

Police have confirmed that a 74-year-old woman driving in the opposite lane made a sudden left turn in front of his vehicle, while the wreck caused a five car pile-up.

Burton complained of neck pain and was later treated at a nearby hospital before being released. No injuries were sustained by other motorists in the incident.
