Lego Stop Motion Magic Recreates ’60s Batman Intro

1989 was a big year for me. It’s the year that Tim Burton‘s Batman hit theaters and kicked off a franchise that has seen plenty of ups and downs since Michael Keaton wore that black rubber suit. That movie made Hollywood start taking note of superheroes again, and it led to merchandising, more movies and several animated series. But for me, the most important thing Batman did in 1989 was introduce me to a man named Adam West. Thanks to Batman, someone in TV Land dusted off the old reels of the classic tv series and began airing them alongside my after school cartoons and it was instant love at first viewing. Watching this video takes me back to that little nerd with the Batman sheet set who used to go around fighting imaginary bad guys and vocalizing his onomonopias.
