The lastest casting news for the tenth and final season of the CW’s “Smallville” is the return of Laura Vandervoort (“V”, “Riverworld”) to the cast. Vandervoort will reprise her role as the Kryptonian, Kara Zor-El, Clark’s cousin, aka Supergirl.

Supergirl will be back for one episode that is expected to air in October. Vandervoort played Supergirl in the seventh season of “Smallville” and briefly again in the front of season eight to conclude the Supergirl storyline. How will her return impact Clark’s journey to becoming Superman? We will have to wait and see.
