Since Fox canceled yet another Joss show (first “Firefly” and now “Dollhouse”), Whedonites have been wondering why Joss Whedon doesn’t go to a cable network instead. Even though Whedon seemed like he needed a break from television shows for the time being (link to story at end of this article), he’s got a meeting with FX, the cable network.
John Landgraf, President of FX, stated:
“Actually his representatives called and scheduled a lunch, I think I’m supposed to have lunch with Joss in the next two or three weeks. And I have enormous respect for him. And by the way, if you look at Shawn Ryan who created ‘The Shield’ and is running ‘Terriers,’ Shawn learned at the feet of Joss Whedon, the Joss Whedon school. And Carlton Cuse by the way, as well. So I don’t really know Joss, but I’m really looking forward to meeting him. I love his stuff.”
Make sure you mark your calendars and set your DVRs for the series finale of “Dollhouse” at its re-scheduled time after being bumped for the “Hope For Haiti” telethon. “Dollhouse” will now air its last episode on Friday, January 29 at 8:00/7:00c on FOX.
