IRON MAN 2 Viral Marketing Presents Mystery Newspaper Clipping

Paramount has begun its “Iron Man 2” viral marketing campaign with the release of these mysterious fictional newspaper clippings below.  This campaign is similar to the “Dark Knight” viral campaign.  Check them out for yourself!  You’ll notice that in the background of the Whiplash poster, there are similar clippings collaged on the wall behind him.

Here’s what the articles say about Tony Stark revealing himself as Iron Man:

“Stunning the world’s press, amazing captains of industry, delighting a curious public and thrilling children the world over, Tony Stark, CEO of Stark Enterprises, announced this week that he was the man behind Iron Man. The mysterious metal-clad behemoth that has battled terrorists, challenged natural disasters and rescued thousands of people around the world, had people guessing as to his true identity.”

The rest of the first article covers the first “Iron Man” film, including his abduction by terrorists in Afganistan and Stark’s decision to change Stark Industries direction to no longer make weapons of mass destruction.

The second article covers the same type of information presented in the first article:

“In a move which caused shockwaves in markets around the world, Tony Stark declared that Stark Industries will be getting out of the weapons business. The announcement came hours after the CEO was rescued from terrorists who had been holding him hostage in an undisclosed location in the Middle East.

Sources within Stark Industries have said that the proposed changes in the company’s business structure would likely devastate the weapons giant. Stark is the country’s largest defense contractor and supplies materials, services and technology to some 30 other nations.
