Today is our Independence Day, the day that we in the United States celebrate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and honor those who serve or have served in our armed forces protecting our great land and ensuring our freedom. We usually celebrate by having cook outs with our families and enjoying some fireworks (which you can watch below, along with some other patriotic goodies).

On this Fourth of July, I want to thank the amazing men and women in The United States Armed Forces around the globe and their families for sacrificing everything to protect us and our freedoms. Because of you, I get to run this little Sci-Fi nook in the corner of the web and enjoy the freedoms that you protect every day. You are heroes one and all… because you chose to protect our freedoms – with your honor, your virtue and your life. Thank you!
