With the success of Warner Brothers Animation’s “Green Lantern: First Flight” that told the story of Hal Jordan’s origin story of becoming Green Lantern, it looks like the studio may be working on another animated feature to add to the Green Lantern franchise.

This new animated “Green Lantern” feature will be a direct-to-DVD release, coming out when the live action “Green Lantern” film starring Ryan Reynolds is to premiere. The focus of this animated film will be on the “origins of the Green Lantern Corps, along with the very first ring wielders” which will most likely not include Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Guy Gardner, or Kyle Rayner considering the story timeline this film aims to explore. Warner Bros has not confirmed this project or its details.
