We love these. The newest trailer and TV spot for American Horror Story: Asylum are less artsy and more straightforward about what we might expect from the newest chapter of what we hope will be a giant American Horror Story anthology. Longer clips and a boatload of creepiness are here for your review.
Per FX, this video will remain live until October 31:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but co-showrunner Ryan Murphy may have been having a little fun with us when he said that actors from last year’s series will be playing entirely opposite characters in the new series. Just putting a nun’s habit on Jessica Lange isn’t exactly changing her role from last year’s “bad” to this year’s “good.” If those videos are anything to go by, her “opposite” role means she’s changing from last year’s “charming” to this year’s “not,” or maybe last year’s “Southern” to this year’s “Northern.” What a scamp that Ryan Murphy is.
We shall see. We’d like to see RIGHT NOW, but we still have two more weeks – WAIT, LESS THAN TWO WEEKS! – to find out for ourselves.
