Glee’s Heather Morris Being Considered for BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER Reboot?

Last month, we told you that Warner Bros. Pictures has jumped aboard the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot project, being written by Whit Anderson and produced by Doug Davison and Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment (The Ring, How to Train Your Dragon, The Departed), along side Atlas Entertainment‘s Charles Roven and Steven Alexander. This reboot got quite the mixed reaction online when word started to spread about Joss Whedon not being involved. Needless to say, we’ll keep you up-to-date on the project either way, and we’re hoping for the best.

Over the last few weeks, there have been rumors bouncing around about Heather Morris (Glee) being in the running for the lead role in the reboot, after movieweb dropped that report, screenwriter Whit Anderson took to twitter and said,

“We’re not even *thinking* about casting yet. The script isn’t even written!”

That Tweet was quickly deleted and just days later, Heather Morris herself told Access Hollywood:

“They’re considering me! I found out and I almost peed my pants ’cause I was so excited!”

“If they make [Buffy] when [Glee] is on hiatus, I don’t even care what I do. I can just run through the shot and do nothing – even if I’m not Buffy!”

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is slated to hit theaters in 2012.

You’ve got to admire her enthusiasm. While I’m not a Glee fan, and have no idea what kind of actress she is, she could definitely pull off the look. What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
