HBO’s television adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s award-winning series of epic fantasy novels, A Song of Ice and Fire is one of the network’s most eagerly anticipated new series and the network has just released a new trailer, image and behind-the-scenes featurette. The trailer doesn’t show that much, but the production featurette sure does!

Executive producer David Benioff says that Game of Thrones will be reinventing the fantasy genre. What’s even more encouraging is that Martin described walking onto the set like walking into one of his dreams, stating:

“There was this incredible moment of ‘My God, they got it right.’ There it is. The majority of my fans are going to be very happy, because they’re going to see the story that I told come alive, played by some fantastic actors.”
