As the season finale of Fringe rapidly approaches, there’s finally some good news for fans who’ve been dreading a Fringe-free existence. According to the Fox site, Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment at Fox Broadcasting, has announced Fringe has received a full season order for the 2009-2010 fall season. The spooky series is the number one new show this season among adults 18-49, and week after week wins its time slot. “Fringe continues to gain momentum, creatively and with viewers,” said creator J.J. Abrams. “We couldn’t be more thrilled that Fringe will continue to freak people out for at least another season!”
While new shows are rarely picked up for multiple seasons at a time, Reilly seems optimistic. “J.J. and the whole Bad Robot team have been phenomenal partners, and we look forward to years of making great television with them.”
