The rumors were true! There was indeed an extra episode of “Fringe” filmed for the first season that never aired. What became of it? It will be aired by Fox on Monday, January 11th at 9pm EST.
The lost ep, entitled “Unearthed”, has a storyline featuring Charlie (Kirk Acevado) who was written out of this second season. In this episode, a teenage girl is pronounced dead, but when is taken off life support, she suddenly “”wakes up screaming in alphanumeric code.” Add to the expected this oddness is the fact that she can also now speak Russian and has knowledge of classified intel that only a high-ranking Russian soldier could possess.
Olivia (Anna Torv), Peter (Joshua Jackson), and Walter (John Noble) try to solve the mystery of this girl’s resurrection and newfound skills.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t seem to get enough of “Fringe”! Save for those few mega gross-out eps, I have really enjoyed the show. I will definitely be setting my DVR for this one!
Note: This ep will air in the same time slot as a new ep of “Heroes”. Hope your DVRs can record more than one show at once!
