First things first. How gorgeous is the title picture for Fox‘s upcoming series Gotham?! And okay, not just because it bears a striking resemblance to SciFi Mafia‘s longtime logo picture. I’m curious about all those zeppelins, though, because there’s one more in the full cover picture. Artistic license?
Now, last week we got the first of first looks at characters for Gotham, and now we have two more, plus a series description from the show’s official Facebook page, that neatly skirts the issue of whether this will be a Commissioner Gordon-centric series:
GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics super villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. Coming to FOX.
Now here’s the first look at Selina, along with the official description. Gotta love the clever placement of the city skyline behind her head:
Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman (acting newcomer Camren Bicondova) is a teenage orphan who is suspicious and wholly unpredictable. A street thief and skilled pickpocket, she’s dangerous when cornered.
And joining the group of first looks is Alfred:
Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee – Elementary, Camelot) is a tough-as-nails ex-marine from East London who has loyally served the Waynes. Now, in the wake of their tragic deaths, he’s fiercely protective of the young Bruce Wayne.
And just because it’s Donal Logue and it’s a cool picture, here’s another look at Detective Harvey Bullock, this time with the official description:
Jim Gordon’s partner and mentor, the rough-around-the-edges Detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue – Sons of Anarchy, Vikings, Copper) plays loose with police procedure, but gets results — and he does so with old-school, hard-ass panache.
More please.
Gotham, starring Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, Robin Lord Taylor, Zabryna Guevara, Sean Pertwee, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Mazouz, Camren Bicondova and Erin Richards, is expected to premiere in 2014 or 2015 on Fox.
