As if Tony Stark didn’t already have enough cash. Jon Favreau‘s Iron Man 2, starring Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Mickey Rourke, Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sam Rockwell has managed to haul in $100.2 million in just one weekend overseas. The total puts Iron Man 2 26% ahead of ol’ shellhead’s original theatrical debut, which ended it’s box office reign with $585 million worldwide.
With advanced ticket sales already skyrocketing, something tells me the U.S. Box Office is going to be crazy… but will it surpass the $158 million record held by Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight?
