One of the best presents for fans of the repertory aspect of American Horror Story is the return of favorite beloved actors in new roles, and in the next episode we get two. We’ve seen Denis O’Hare all along, but he hasn’t had much to do. According to the episode photos and TV spot below, he may have a bit more this week. I expect this third AHS story is at least a little easier on him as he only needs a wig, instead of the half-burned-off-face prosthetics of season 1.

Even better news is the return of Frances Conroy, since we only saw her briefly in the first episode and haven’t seen her since. AHS‘s maid-attired Moira and AHS: Asylum‘s beautifully winged angel of death is sporting a perfectly wonderful quirky look for AHS: Coven (she’s the redhead in the picture above), and I can’t wait to see what she’s bringing to the part.

At this time no screener has been released for review, so no telling if this week’s episode has returned to the expected excellence of the series, but if the expanded cast and favorite ever episode title – “Fearful Pranks Ensue” – are any indication, it’s going to be another great hour.
