This past weekend, during BBC America’s Memorial Day marathon of “Doctor Who” and “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, a television commercial for Vertigo’s “Fables” aired. The “Fables” comic book series began in 2002 and is written and created by Bill Willingham. The series follows famous (and not so famous) characters of fairy tales and folklore as they are exiled from their homelands and must take refuge in New York City.
