Earlier this month, we brought you the news when now “Academy Award-Winning” actress Octavia Spencer (The Help) joined the cast of of director Bong Joon-Ho‘s Indie Sci-Fi film Snow Piercer, alongside Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer and John Hurt.

Now, Variety reports that Ewen Bremner (Trainspotting, Jack the Giant Killer) is the newest addition to the cast as a father who helps Chris Evans‘ character find his kidnapped son, in the film which is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snow Piercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.

Snow Piercer is slated to hit theaters in 2013.
