DC Entertainment has launched a digital storefront in partnership with ComiXology at DCComics.com. DC has made a collection of classic titles available on the new site, including Frank Miller‘s The Dark Knight Returns, The Death of Superman, Identity Crisis and Superman: For Tomorrow and Warren Ellis and Darick Robertson‘s Transmetropolitan, among others.
DC co-publisher Jim Lee said,
“We’ve made sure that our storefront is powered by ComiXology, which means if you buy a DC digital comic like the chart-busting Death of Superman on your Mac or PC at home, you can read the very same series on-the-go using your iPhone, iPad or laptop, using our DC app, without paying a penny more or creating any new logins. Or vice versa.
“We call it convergence. You will find it simply easy,”
To celebrate the launch of the DC Comics Digital Store, the publisher has released a number of critically acclaimed series for the first time in digital at 99 cents, including debut issues of The Authority, Transmetropolitan, 100 Bullets and Identity Crisis.
