Damon Lindelof’s THE LEFTOVERS Gets Pushed Two Weeks

The Leftovers logo wide

If you hate waiting like I do, this is not good news. It already felt like forever until we would get to see Damon Lindelof‘s first show since Lost, HBO‘s The Leftovers. Now we have to wait TWO MORE WEEKS: the premiere has been rescheduled from June 15 to June 29. So irritating.

The only bright spot is that HBO has also announced that the first trailer (as opposed to the two, errr, non-trailers already posted) will be released on Sunday right before the new Game of Thrones.

Here at SciFi Mafia we use the standard definition of a “trailer” as anything over a minute (really, over 30 seconds; at or under 30 seconds is a “TV spot”) that doesn’t include interviews (that’s a “featurette”). Hopefully HBO defines a “trailer” as something nice and long and full of great clips.

Here’s another look at the two non-trailer trailers from last week and the week before, because I want to watch them again and figured you do, too:

And here’s that first trailer again:
