Just a few weeks ago, we brought you an interview with stuntman James Grogan in-which he seemed to revealed villains in director Alan Taylor‘s forthcoming Thor follow-up entitled Thor: The Dark World, starring Chris Hemsworth.
In the interview Grogan mentioned Elves, which lead everyone straight to the dark elves of Svartalfheim and the big baddie of the film, who was originally to be portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen (who dropped out of the project) was rumored to be Malekith the Accursed, the leader of the dark elves.
Now, Deadline reports that Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who, Heroes, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, has taken over for Mikkelson, and will indeed be portraying Malekith The Accursed, the aforementioned leader of the dark elves.
Thor: The Dark World is slated to hit theaters on November 8, 2013.
