LucasArts has put together this stunning trailer for Deceived, a new Star Wars novel that is the second tie-in with the highly anticipated MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic. Written by Paul S. Kemp (Star Wars: Crosscurrent), Deceived is set 3,500 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, in a time when the Sith and Jedi are vast in number and are in an constant struggle for dominance in the galaxy.

The book tells the story of Darth Malgus, a Sith lord (who makes Emperor Palpatine look like cockney upstart) and his rise to power. After striking a devastating blow against the Republic and sacking the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Malgus wants to continue his conquest of the Republic capital; but his Sith masters and destiny have other plans.
