Just a couple of weeks ago, we brought you the report about Tom Hardy (Inception) reuniting with director Christopher Nolan for Batman 3. Hardy’s exact role is unknown, but it is being speculated that it is a lead role as one of DC Comics‘ iconic villains.

Now, Moviehole reports that Christopher Nolan is hosting top secret auditions for the female lead in Batman 3. Actresses in their late 20s and early 30s are reportedly being brought in to meet with the director and aren’t even being told what they are meeting with Nolan about, or what role they may be auditioning for.

Could it be Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Talia Al Ghul, or simply a new love interest for Mr. Wayne? We don’t know yet but as soon as we do, we’ll bring you the details!

Christopher Nolan‘s as yet Untitled Batman Project is slated to hit theaters on July 20th, 2012.
