As if this weren’t already a foregone conclusion, director Christopher Nolan has confirmed that he will in fact return to direct the third installment in his Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures based Batman franchise. The as yet Untitled Batman Project will follow 2005’s Batman Begins and 2008’s The Dark Knight, which grossed $372 million and over $1 billion in worldwide revenue respectively.
On directing the next Batman film – Nolan said,
“It’s becoming inevitable, I’ll put it that way. I feel myself falling into it, I guess. And getting it all figured out and I’m pretty excited about what we’re doing so… If I haven’t announced it, I think that people probably all know at this point that I’m doing it. I think (I) can at this point, (say) yes.”
Christopher Nolan‘s as yet Untitled Batman Project is slated to hit theaters on July 20th, 2012.
