Late last year, we brought you an interview with director Steven Spielberg, where he addressed the status of the lengthy up in the air status of the proposed fourth installment of the Jurassic Park franchise for Universal Pictures. At the time, Spielberg said that the screenplay was being written by Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend, Thor), and he was hoping that the film would come out in the next couple of years.

Now, Deadline reports that Universal has now hired Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) to pen the script for the film, and while Spielberg won’t direct this installment, it will be produced by Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy.

No release dates have been officially announced for Jurassic Park IV.
