This time last week, we brought you the news when Dimension Films officially announced that Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller would begin production on the highly anticipated and much delayed sequel to the 2005 film, Sin City.

While speaking with MTV, Rodriguez confirmed that Mickey Rourke (Marv) and Rosario Dawson (Gail) are indeed returning for  Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Rodriguez said, “Rourke is all excited to come back, be he’s probably the first one. I saw Rosario too. I ran into her for something else, and she’s pumped. They’ve always been excited about doing another one, so that will be fun.”

DenOfGeek reports that Michael Madsen, who portrayed Bob, Bruce Willis’ corrupt partner will return as well. Madsen said, “I’m doing the sequel to Sin City. That would be Sin City 2. I’m going to Ft. Worth, Texas, and there is supposed to be some sort of symposium or some Sin City panel where we’re going to talk about the film.”

No release date for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For has been announced.
