After George Lucas decided to convert and theatrically re-release all of the Star Wars films in 3D, it should come as little surprise that his friend, director Steven Spielberg decided to do the same with the visual effects ground-breaker that is 1993’s Jurassic Park.

Deadline reports that the original Universal Pictures film starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Richard Attenborough and Samuel L. Jackson, which grossed just shy of $1 Billion worldwide will be returning to theaters in all three dimensions on July 19, 2013.

Don’t worry about the quality of the 3D conversion, I’m sure they spared no expense!
