Just last month, we brought you the news when director Jonathan Liebesman (Battle Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans) entered final negotiations to helm the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film for Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon and Platinum Dunes.

Now, Deadline reports that Paramount has set a release date for the live action-CGI hybrid being produced by Scott Mednick (Where the Wild Things Are) and Galen Walker (TMNT). The turtles will emerge from the sewers on Christmas day.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is slated to hit theaters on December 25th, 2013.
