Winter is coming. This twenty-five minute featurette takes you behind the scenes of the highly anticipated HBO’s television adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones. If you’re not familiar with the story, this featurette provides a most excellent orientation course of the lay of the land, fascinating in-depth look at the characters, background to the storyline, and social framework for the game of thrones.

The second half of it delves into the marvelous craft of bringing Marin’s world to life. The crew takes you behind-the-scenes of how the production chose the locations in Ireland and Malta to shoot on location, behind the walls of Castle Black and into the lushness of King’s Landing (and the throneroom!), a look at fight choreography, and the invention of the Dothraki language.
