Despite the gloomy forecast about Fringe’s move to Friday nights, the show returned with stronger than expected ratings with a total of 4.83 million viewers and a 1.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which was up twelve percent from its last Thursday broadcast before the mid-season break.

Fringe’s ratings in conjunction with Kitchen Nightmares contributed to Fox’s best average rating on Friday nights since March of 2008. Perhaps the Observers have something to do with improved ratings? Keep watching Fringe fans!
