Chick fight! The latest news from NBC’s midseason superhero series, The Cape is the casting of Illeana Douglas (Adele, Ghost World). Douglas will play Netta, “a nurse who for years has taken care of a mysterious patient inside The Orchard asylum”. Douglas’ role will cover two episodes of the show’s freshman season.
Sources close to the show tell TV Guide that Douglas’ character will throw down with Summer Glau‘s Orwell:
“Netta ends up in a fierce battle with Orwell (Summer Glau) after Orwell’s investigation takes her inside the creepy facility.”
The two-hour premiere episode of The Cape airs on NBC on Sunday, January 9th. The show then shifts to the time-slot right after Chuck on Monday nights beginning January 17th.
