We reported just a few days ago that Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan) was a contender to helm the Superman reboot, but as was reported two days ago, Zack Snyder (Watchmen, Sucker Punch) was the lucky director who landed that job.
As we previously mentioned, Hugh Jackman reportedly has the final say in who directs the follow-up to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and due to his previously established relationship with Aronofsky on The Fountain, he may end up being the favorite in the battle for the directors chair.
Now, Vulture says that Darren Aronofsky is reportedly in active negotiations with 20th Century Fox to put him in the director’s chair for X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2 is slated to hit theaters in 2012
