Transfomers 3: Bay Says The Twins Are Not Back For TF3… Or Are They?

Transformers 3 director, Michael Bay has posted a message on the forums at his site, shootfortheedit.com stating that ‘The Twins’, Mudflap and Skids will not be back for the new installment of the Autobots vs. Decepticon franchise.

We’d like to believe him, but then along comes a report from TFLAMB with pictures from LeftLaneNews that are apparently two Chevy Sparks with racing stripes that are in the twins colors, sporting Autobot center caps on the wheels and video shot from a window above the production where the eyewitness states,

“Michael Bay directs an effects sequence involving a tiny car being thrown down an alley way by the Autobot twins. Minutes before this happened, the twins zoomed through the alley and screeched to a halt… If only they could really transform!”

Ben Brown who took the video, verified that the cars in the photos below are the ones that he saw during the shoot. Check them all out below and let us know what you think in the comments (I know a lot of you hate the twins but keep the comments PG-13!)

Behind The Scenes: Transformers 3

Totally unrelated to the twins part of the story, Ben also grabbed this really great picture (below) of what appears to be some anti-autobot graffiti on the side of a dumpster. So, either someone in California is pissed that Michael Bay is shooting on their street or we may have our first hint of a plot point for Transfomers 3. (and before you smart asses get started… yes, I used Michael Bay, Transformers and Plot all in the same sentence).

Transformers 3 is slated to hit theaters on July 1st, 2011.
