DOCTOR WHO Stars Kick Off Season Premiere In NYC This Week


The stars of BBC’s “Doctor Who” will be making appearances in New York City this week in promotion of the U. S. premiere of the new season of “Doctor Who” airing this Saturday on BBC America. Showrunner and BAFTA-award-winning writer Steven Moffat along with actors Matt Smith and Karen Gillan will be in the Big Apple this week for press interviews and at least two promotional events.

The first of these events kicks off today, Monday, April 12th with another event scheduled for Wednesday, April 14th. More events may be scheduled so keep it here on SciFi Mafia!

New York

Monday, April 12

6:30 PM: “Who’s Next? The New Era of Doctor Who,” a Paley Center for Media and BAFTA East Coast member screening and discussion with actors Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat – moderated by Entertainment Weekly’s senior writer Clark Collis. The event will be held at the Paley Center for Media in New York and is open to Paley Center and BAFTA members. For more information click here.

Wednesday, April 14

7:00 PM: A special premiere screening event of the new Doctor Who series, immediately followed by a Q&A with actors Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat at the Village East Cinema. The Q&A session will be moderated by USA Today’s Pop Culture Columnist Whitney Matheson, author of the Pop Candy blog.
