Add Another FIREFLY Crew Member To WAREHOUSE 13


Yet another member of Joss Whedon’s “Firefly” crew will be guest starring in the upcoming second season of SyFy’s “Warehouse 13”. Gina Torres joins Jewel Staite and Sean Maher on the guest star list on the hit show.

Torres will play an FBI agent who will strike an interesting dynamic between Warehouse agents Myka and Pete. Torres’ character is to be Pete’s (played by Eddie McClintock) love interest.

Also guest starring this season will be Phillip Winchester (“Crusoe”, SyFy’s “Alice”) and Paula Garces (“Defying Gravity”). Winchester’s character is involved with an artifact that transmitting increasingly dangerous scenes from old Hollywood movies”. His character is Raymond St. James, a “1950s matinee idol and “star of these movies, in roles which include a Cowboy, a Marine, a Gladiator and a Mad Scientist”. Garces will have a recurring role as Kelly, “a sexy, spunky, headstrong veterinarian in the Warehouse town of Univille who catches Pete’s eye.”

“Warehouse 13” follows two Secret Service agents who find themselves abruptly transferred to a massive, top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government. The Warehouse’s caretaker Artie (Saul Rubinek) charges Pete (Eddie McClintock) and Myka (Joanne Kelly) with chasing down reports of supernatural and paranormal activity in search of new objects to cache at the Warehouse, as well as helping him to control the Warehouse itself.

In its first season, “Warehouse 13” became the all-time Syfy leader in total viewers (4.1 million), Adults 25-54 (2.1 million) and Household ratings (2.9), as measured by 7-Day DVR data.

“Warehouse 13” is produced for Syfy by Universal Cable Productions. Jack Kenny (The Book of Daniel) returns as showrunner.
