Were you hoping that Lafayette and Sam would hook up?  :eyes dart around:  That’s not where I was going with this, but here’s some spoilery goodness for them both!

Oh our dear Lafayette (pictured right) is up for a doosey next season.

Not only is Lafayette to become more “vulnerable”, but he’s getting a boyfriend this next season, too!  HBO’s “True Blood” is looking for “a sexy Latino actor in his thirties to play a lust interest for [Lafayette].”

As for Sam (pictured on left), Alan Ball has found his mother- Tony-nominated actress, J. Smith-Cameron, has been cast to play the recurring role of Sam’s estranged mom, Melinda.  Melinda is described as “dirt-poor, hungover, and trashy-looking”.
