Mia Kirshner (“L Word” and “24”) is joining the cast of the CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” in a recurring role of Isobel, “the sweet-yet-dangerous wife of the school’s new history teacher, Alaric Saltzman (played by Matt Davis)”. We already know that Alaric isn’t all that he seems and he possesses a ring similar to the rings that Salvatore brother wear… there’s a good chance that Isobel isn’t a regular human either! Word is Isobel is supposed to be dead… You’ll get to see her when the series returns, starting January 21st!
Side note, Kirshner is getting a lot of vampires these days. She has been signed onto Ben Ketai’s “30 Days of Night: Dark Days”, not to mention that she’s had previous vamp experience in “Dracula: The Series” back in 1990-1991.
Other super guest stars to note are Gina Torres (“Serenity”, “FlashForward”) as a witch named Bree and Brandon Quinn (“Entourage”, “The OC”) to play a character named Lee, “a vengeful guy with a score to settle with Damon.”
