Two years ago the Al Ahli Group announced a partnership with Marvel Entertainment that would see a massive, cutting-edge amusement park to be built in Dubai that would feature rides and exhibits themed to the likes of Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Hulk, The X-Men, and all the more of Marvel’s superheroes and villains. Many things have changed since then. Starting with Disney’s acquisition of Marvel, and the world wide financial crisis which has taken it’s toll on Dubai’s construction based economy on, halting many projects.

All things considered, the chances of the Marvel park ever seeing the light of day are slim to none. Luckily, we still get to see what could have been and what may actually be at some point way into the future.
