The CW’s “Smallville” had a bit of a spike this last week (2.6 million viewers, 1.2), the rating is a season high, representing additional growth over recent weeks and a rising likelihood the veteran series will stick around for another year despite being jettisoned to TV Siberia (Friday Night).
Smallville’s ratings tied with ABC’s “Ugly Betty” (4.5 million, 1.2), and Fox’s two-hour “House” repeat. In essence, Smallville and House tied with a 1.2 and even being a repeat for house.. that’s saying something for Smallville (and any other show).
ABC’s FlashForward pulled in 12.45 million viewers for it’s series premiere but as the sixth episode just aired, the latest episode received just 9 million viewers. While that is a large drop, it’s ratings are nothing to scoff at and with more and more shows being scrutinized (budget vs. ratings), if you love a show you’d better get out there and support it. The “Save Chuck” campaign proved that it works and it’s better to start before it’s too late!
