We’ve told you a little, which is as much as we know, about Syfy‘s upcoming original event series Ascension, starring Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) and Brian Van Holt (Threshhold), coming to our screens in November. Here’s a reminder of the brief synopsis we’ve received from Syfy so far:

In 1963, the U.S. government launched a covert space mission sending hundreds of men, women and children on a century-long voyage aboard the starship Ascension to populate a new world. Nearly 50 years into the journey, as they approach the point of no return, the mysterious murder of a young woman causes the ship’s population to question the true nature of their mission.

So, a little bit more. But now they’ve released the first TV spot, and if they’re going retro, I am so In. Well, okay, it’s in space, so I was already In. But still! And no, I don’t know why they called it “Season 1” when it’s an event series. Hmmm…
